Drowning at the Braves Game

So, this was going to be the 5th year in a row that I'd see my 4th of July fireworks at a Braves game. It started out great, a huge flag unfurled to 'God Bless America' sung by a variety of artists, including TOBY!! (check out the video screen) and a fly-over with 4 jets. (don't know what type of jets, should've asked Dad). Then it started to rain. And rain, and rain, and lightning, and thunder. We stuck around for a couple of hours, watching the grounds crew engage in 'water wrangling' trying to keep the infield dry.


Then we decided to go home. Aren't we a good looking crew when we've been drenched??

Aussie Update

So, now it looks like I won't be leaving the ATL until the middle of August, probably sometime in the 4th week. So, I'll be getting to Australia in early September, just in time for spring (my favorite season, I'm so glad I get 2 of them this year!)

House For Rent in Atlanta...

Update 8/24/2006: The house has been rented... which is a good thing, since I"ve now left Atlanta headed for Australia!!
