Spring musings

So, it's March, my favorite month - for a couple of reasons - it's my birthday month and its the start of spring. Except for the last 3 years when it was the start of autumn, which just always felt weird to me.

My birthday is in 2 weeks and I am sort of bummed out about not being in Canberra to share it with my people there. This week also marks the 2 year anniversary of my friend Louise's passing. It's crazy to me that tears can still flow so freely 2 years later. I still haven't been able to watch "The Man from Snowy River"; it's the last thing we did together about a month before she died. Even though I'd only known her for a little over a year, she was amazingly open and generous... very special. But this week also marks the 2 year birthdays of some pretty cool little girls - in both hemispheres. So it's crazy circle of life type thoughts in my head.

It's times like these, when I can clearly remember things and events in the Berra that I get really 'homesick'. It just feels like a dream, but I have some very tangible memories.

Anywhoo... it's a monumental bday this year, 35. Holy moley. I'm excited to see what tis year will bring!
