Katie has left Atlanta...
Man, what a crazy last couple of weeks in the ATL. I can't believe I'm actually on the road now. I'm in Kansas City, on the Kansas side. I started out this morning in Nashville, TN, stopped in St. Louis, MO for lunch with a friend, and am now in Kansas. Not too shabby for one day. :)
The road trip is good so far, knock on wood. I'm listening to a fascinating audio book, 'Icebound', which is about a female physician in Antartica who is 'wintering-over' as the sole medical officer for all the scientists at the South Pole. She develops breast cancer and has to be rescued, although I haven't gotten to that part yet, so I'm not sure how that's accomplished. It's a pretty good read.. er, I mean listen. Headed to Denver tomorrow for a couple of nights, and then I'll head south to Arizona, via Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon. This is my view of the Arch as I entered St. Louis this afternoon...
